Hello PDA Professionals,

Do you instinctively know how a PDA client family can move through crisis but are not sure how to describe it to them and then support them through the experience?

Do you find yourself wishing you were more comfortable and confident in your work with PDA families and want more colleagues to talk to about your work?

Or do you feel overwhelmed at times by the urgency and intensity of your client’s experience and how it touches on your own?

Are you deeply concerned about how families remain stuck in painful challenging interactions and interrelational pain and distress month after month. Even, year after year?

Maybe you are very experienced in work with PDA families and want them to have more clear coherent and emotionally congruent paths that are relevant to the life they live and can inspire their own growth.

If so, this study group may be for you!
This group is for the experienced PDA professional merging their professional and personal knowledge in support of their work. If you are feeling confident this group will support you in an experience of community and deeper discussions. If you are building confidence you can lean on us.

You can relax; you don’t need to teach or have any answers for anyone. No one is making any demands on you to take notes or create goals. You can simply engage with curiosity in the topics we explore together.

I will tailor this group to what you want to engage with but the theme for this group is: Beyond Low Demand in applied practice. Guiding PDA families in rupture and repair.

Details:

This group will be held on 4 consecutive Saturdays at 12pm to 1:30 pm EST.

Beginning Saturday July 18th and ending on August 8th.

Each group will be 90 minutes long and consist of an applied practice teaching, a case example and at least an hour of open engagement and exchange with one another.

Cost: 100 dollars per group.

Charges will incur: 1x per week for 4 weeks billed directly after each group to better allow you to balance your professional development expenses.

CEU’s: are not provided but you will receive a certificate of attendance should that allow you to apply for hours from your board.

Closed group: of 8 registrations to allow deeper engagement and connection.

Fees: I will reserve 1 spot for a fee waiver and 2 spots for a half-priced rate adjustment.

What you receive:
90-minute group which will include a video recording of the learning and discussion and all slides and materials used.
Included when attending all 4 groups:
1 individual 60 minute professional consultation you can use for a sensitive issue or challenges in your work. You can schedule on my appointment calendar any time between now and September. Those who register will receive a link to my practice website.

If you can’t attend them all, no worries, costs can be prorated to attendance! You can also still schedule a time on my calendar to introduce yourself and say hello! I’m happy to meet you.

Some ideas to explore and I’m open to yours too:

  1. The importance of understanding defenses and how to navigate them in work with PDA.
  2. Counter transferential responses in our work.
  3. What is relational therapy and why is it so important to adapting your work to PDA?
  4. Strength-based conceptualizations to affirm PDA organic emotional and cognitive processing. How does this help you support demand engagement?
  5. A developmental framework around PDA growth across the life span
  6. Attachment, and what does that look like in PDA
  7. Mirroring: how, and, why it’s so important to the health of PDA relationships
  8. Circular Thinking and Black and White Thinking: How do you engage without triggering a demand avoidant response.
  9. Beyond Low Demand: what do we mean by this?

I hope that this fills a need, can work with your schedule and that you have emotional energy to make connections and new collaborations with colleagues!
